Slice of Life: April 7 & 8

   April 7

So today, I went to church with my mom and sister. We got in the car at about 1:10, and my mom drove to the church. So we get there, and in my church there are three kids helping. I was one of them, and there is a door that we go through, and I went inside. So that is where we get everything ready, and the kids wear the long white robe. So in my church, I usually carry a candle at the beginning. So then church starts, and after I carry the candle, everyone sits down, and the priest starts the mass. So at the end, I had helped a lot, and I was pretty happy and pleased with my work. :))))


April 8

 Today at school, I was in my second block, and it was my Social Studies class. We were going to start learning about Ancient Rome. We, as a class, were told to complete a Virtual Tour of different regions of Italy. They were Rome, Sardinia, Venice, and The Alps. So we were allowed to work with partners, and since one of my best friends was in the class too, we chose to be partners. So we had to answer 8 questions, and my friend I and divided up the questions and we each equally did the questions. So then we just answered the questions, and in the end we both had to finish the last one which was something we were supposed to do by ourselves. That was really fun with my friend.  :))

Slice of Life: April 5 & 6

  April 5

So today, one thing that happened today was really fun. It was like 2:00 PM, and my mom told me and my sister that we were going to the mall! So then I ask if out aunt and cousin are going to come, since they usually go the mall with us, like a lot. So my mom said that they will be coming with us, and then we get ready. So then my mom drives us there, and we head inside. My mom texts the aunt that we were going to go into a store and I’m assuming that she said “ok”. So when we’re in the store, I browse all of the cool stuff I know I want but can’t have. My mom allows me and my sister to get something, and when I’m looking at something, someone randomly, and practically, yells in my ear, “HIIIIIII”. I don’t scream, but I did get startled. We laugh and soon my mom pays, and then my aunt is here with us too. Then we went to the food court and I ordered my food, and so did they, and we ate, then went and got some Starbucks. Then we eventually had to leave. It was really fun!

   April 6

So for April 4, I wanted to write about one of my other friends coming over to my house, and that friend was someone that I haven’t seen in such a long time, so I’m writing about that now.  :)
So it was Saturday morning, and I woke up with excitement, because my friend was going to my house! I haven’t seen her since 5th Grade, and you know, at the beginning of the school year, I thought that she was coming to out school, but she wasn’t, and she didn’t know, and she couldn’t tell me because that was when I couldn’t text her because I didn’t know her phone number. So later in the day, at about 1:00, she came over, and we were really happy, since we always hung out in school. So what we did was we played some video games for a while, and then later we just hung out going around and talking. So pretty much that was also a really fun day, and I enjoyed seeing her.  :)

Slice of Life: April 3 & 4

  April 3

So today, I didn’t even do much. So the one thing that I did during the afternoon was that I spend most of the day watching tv, using my phone, and pretty much nothing. So I texted my best friend that I wrote about for April 1. So I texted her saying that I wanted either her come over to my house, or I go to her house. I asked, and she said that she would ask her parents, so I did as well. So after I did that, I responded with, “You can come over to my house!”. I didn’t get a quick response, so I assumed that she was trying to convince her parents to come over. Then after a few minutes, she texted me that she can come over on Thursday. So then I asked when she could come over, and she said at about 11:30. So then the rest of the day I just started to do some homework.


 April 4

One thing that happed today was that I actually went to the post office so my mom could send a letter to either someone that we each knew, or just for my dad for his business. So first my mom had me and my sister get ready, and then head straight to the car. My mom drove to the post office and we had to wait in a long line. It probably took like 10 minutes, but it really felt like forever. It was really boring, but then again, I didn’t really have nothing to do at home. I had my phone with me, so I juts went on my phone and played some games, or browsed the internet, whilst my sister stood there doing nothing. I felt a little bit bad, so after like 3 minutes, I let her use it instead. So then finally it was our turn, and my mom gave the letter to the lady behind the counter. She scanned it, and stuff then we left, got in the car, then my mom drove us home, and I got to be bored again.

Slice of Life: April 1 & 2

April 1

Today was a day similar to every other day. Usually I like to spend time just relaxing, watching tv, and other stuff like that. So today in the morning, I texted one of my best friends, mostly because I was kind of bored, and I wanted to do something. So I decided to joke around with her, because that’s also when I realized that it was April Fools! So I texted her that I was really mad at her, and she actually kind of believed it! I also said that I didn’t want to be her friend anymore. So I kept the conversation going, but eventually I told her to realize what day it was, and she sent me a laughing emoji and then a crying emoji. I said I was sorry, and she said it was alright, and then she actually called me, and we just talked the rest of the morning.


April 2

One thing that happened today was pretty funny, because I pranked another one of my friends! So it was the afternoon, and I decided that I wanted to prank one of my other friends. So I texted my other friend, and I said the same thing as yesterday. So I texted her, but she didn’t answer so quickly. I waited a few minutes, and she finally texted me saying why I “hated” her. So then I responded with “You’re the worst friend ever, I don’t really want to see you ever again!!”. She was confused, and she said, “whyyyyy??”. Then I said, “April 2ools”. We each sent a laughing emoji and then I spent the rest of my day doing whatever I wanted. Which is really just watching tv, or something.

Blackfish Review/Opinion

 The documentary was really cool, and sad. It made me upset when the fishermen were taking the baby orcas away from their mothers. It was fascinating to see the trainers jump off of the orcas. just saying :/  That doesn’t mean that I want them to stay at SeaWorld though. It’s not right to capture an animal from their home, and make them perform tricks. I still believe that the orcas should be freed. More about the movie, it showed why they think SeaWorld is bad, and I believe it. :)  Overall, the movie was great! ☺️ I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.  🐳

Blackfish

    I read three articles about blackfish, also known as orcas, and how they are treated in SeaWorld. I think that they shouldn’t be kept in zoos because they should be able to freely swim without having to entertain people. They would be happier with their natural habitat and with their families. It started with a documentary called Blackfish. When people and animal safety groups got upset with SeaWorld. A group called People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, had disliked SeaWorld because of the documentary. They said that the treatment of the orcas was violent. I also think that they shouldn’t be put in captivity.

One Word 2019

  My one word for 2019 is Create. I chose this word because I thought that it would mean and make sense to me the most. When I think of this word, I would mean something like Create Goals, Create Friendships, Create Art, and other stuff. :  )  I think 2018 was a good year, but I hope 2019 is going to be even better. I hope to improve on my abilities and that I learn new amazing things. One thing I know that I’ll create, is memories. ☺️  I hope everyone has a great 2019!! 😊💜
